Dear Parishioners & Friends,

Greetings of peace of the Lord Jesus Christ to all of you.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of St.Thomas Malankara Catholic Church, Nalanchira. I am happy to join you in re-launching the website on the occasion of the beginning of the church feast on 26th June 2022 and which ends on 3rd of July.

Nalanchira parish has been in existence since 1932 and is historically significant as the place where Mar Ivanios, the servant of God and the Father of Reunion movement, lived in his last days. Majority of the parish members are the people who have come from different parts of kerala for job and then settled in Nalanchira. Although we are a diverse group of people, we try to be a family gathered in love and respect. We are so very different, yet so much alike. We are sinners that dare to trust in the mercy promised. But nothing to worry how we see ourselves, please to know that you have a space and place in the heart of Jesus. The variety of ministries is inspiring. With selfless dedication, you carry on Christ’s work with old and young; with faithful and struggling; with glad and grieving; with those nearby and with those around our country and abroad.

This is a very happy time for Malankara Catholic Church, that we are going to be blessed with two new bishops on 15th of july, 2022. Remban Mathew Manakarakavil and Remban Antony Kakkanattu are very much related to our parish. Let’s pray for them for their fruitful ministry.

We are in the celebration of the discussion on synodality in the Catholic Church. This is the clarion call given by Pope Francis and the Holy Father is inviting all the faithful to walk together in communion.

I appreciate all our pious associations and catechism teachers for your selfless dedication. I am glad to see you all sincerely cooperating in the renovation and extension work of our church building. Kindly continue your prayers for the smooth completion of work as early.

I thank everyone who has been instrumental in making website and accomplishing the task. This website will provide all readers with information about the church and its activities.

I gratefully thank His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis, the head of Malankara Catholic Church and the major archbishop of the eparchy of Trivandrum for his gracious support and guideline to the parish community especially at this time of the renovation work of the church.

Let’s unite in Christ Jesus,

Fr.Mathew Parackal,OIC
