I am very pleased to learn that St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Nalanchira, Trivandrum of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum is launching its website after overcoming the pandemic struggles. The Covid-19 pandemic kept the faithful away from the church and other places of worship. During that time the digital platform was much used. During this time Holy Masses and other worships were celebrated and telecasted through online media.

One of the major purposes of the website of a parish is to provide information for the faithful about the life of the parish and it should be consistently updated. It provides opportunities for the parishioners to stay well-informed about the events and programs that the church organizes. Website of a parish keeps the parish community engaged and vibrant in its activities. It also allows them to explore serving opportunities and gives helpful information to others. It is also an open invitation to prospective members who seeks spiritual guidance. Display the reach and extent of parish ministry and inspire others to get involved too, even if they aren’t members. The website can increase and promote involvement in Bible study, reading and other spiritual and social activities. Overall, with an online presence let your ministry be a true witnessing of our Lord Jesus Christ’s compassion, peace, love and mercy, where ever you meet people in a desolate situation.
